Re: END GAME (Short Story)
I'm coming up to a situation just like that the first PBW game I've played. We started it out as a PBeM, it's been going on for months now and, well, we terrans probably can't hold off the Klackons for much longer. And we don't even have a star destroyed to nuke them with ourselves.
On the bright side, I saw the writing on the wall many months ago, and so it has provided a really good backstory for all my subsequent races...who are all exiles and hate Klackons.
Still, it's always sad to see an empire you nourished for so long die...
