Re: ZQNN (Zeta Quadrant News Network) - Replacement Player needed
Zeta Knights First Encounter (3-1) Stardate 2400.4
Knight Captain Alta of the "Searcher" was faicng the hardest task in his life.
He had as ordered traversed the warp point, and exited alive and well. No damage to the ship.
But to his surprise the scanner displays highlighted the instant they came out through the warp point.
At first it was thought they was malfunctioning due to the transition but very quickly it becam appearant that they where working quite wll.
There where aliens in this system.
The Zeta Knights scientists had counted more than 200 systems in this part of the universe, if there where aliens in all of them there would be more than 200 species to meet, the thought was stunning.
But now Knight Captain Alta had more immediate problems, what to do?
He had the recording from Knight Templar Ruatha that they where supposed to send out to any aliens encountered, but no one had expected that encounter to happen this soon!
Should he send the message? It would take a month to reach the aliens and another month for their answer to reach him.
He couldn't communicate with the homeplanet through the wormhole and get an answer back in reasonable time either.
Should he waste two months while the aliens constructed weapons and fell upon him? He was the only thing standing between them and the Home planet!
There was no sign of any capital ship in the system.
The "Searcher" was a powerful ship; it had several anit proton beams of the latest class, able to deliver 20 gigawatts of power 4 sectors away. It had armour for defence and point defence cannons to shield against anything getting to close to her.
If Alta decided to he copuld propably glass that planet and then take out the remaining smaller colonies without much resistance.... but then he would have to act now.. in two months it might be too late!
"-Take us closer to that main planet", he said to his second in command and retired to his quarter to ponder the issue further before making this decision.
A decision that might mean life or death for all the Knights, the responsibility weighted heavily upon his shoulders.
