If you lose all of your planets, you continue to survive and can play. However, you lose contact with all other races, even if you can see them. I had about 15 bases in a limited resources game, but when I lost the Last planet, I was cut off. In another game, after losing all of my planets, I even colonized an empty planet but could never regain contact with any other empire. It is a very good idea to avoid this situation.  |
