I have a similar problem. With the Modpack, 1.27b research mod (could not find 1.27c), and Sundevils mod loaded, in the order stated by God Emperor. Player 3 (EEE) which is computer controlled but I loaded it manually (not randomly selected) locks up. If I make it human, turn off the AI minister on ship design, and then make it computer again, it works fine. Happened when the race discovered Ship Construction 4. I even changed the mod pack file back to the original ship design file but lock up still happens. Later same problem with player 4, the Jraenar, except this happened when they discovered Ship Construction 7. I also think the problem is with Attack ships, as the all the other ship designs were updated, except for the attack ship. I am still playing the game. With the design minister turned off, I just occasionally go and create them new designs - also lets me see how the rest of the quadrant is doing. Has anyone experienced this with the basic game, as I can not understand how the mods would be causing this problem. Is it a computer time out? By making the computer smarter, is it just running out of time before it finishes its turn. The AT will stop on the player 3 and 4 about 5 seconds even with the ship design minister turned off. Maybe with this minister turned on, the AI just has too much to do before its allotted time slice is up, and since it has not completed its turn, the game locks up - just a guess. I even uninstalled SEIV and reinstalled, installed the new patch and then redownloaded all the mods and reinstalled, thinking some bit might have been bad. However, I am still using the same save game file, so maybe the problem is in the file. Any info would be nice. Thanks,
