I guess, since Tholians are crystalline, computer-like beings, they should be rather advanced in Data processing and electromagnetic communications (hey comps are nothing without the network!). So they could develop some of these intel ops against their foes: Order Snafu, Communications Taps, Communications Mimic, Communication Interceptors.
