www.codecsdownload.com and check out the free goodies. More players and codecs than you can figure out how to use in a lifetime. Several of the free players can play DVDs.
Especially checkout the 'Real Alternative' and 'Quicktime Alternative' codec packs. You can listen to 'RealMedia' or watch Quicktime movies WITHOUT the respective branded player browbeating you to buy the registered Version!
