I personally love this community. And the OT topics are some of the main reasons.
I for one am here not only to talk about Space Empires, even if it is a forum invented for it
. The off topic threads here allow people to discuss things with people all over the world. And even if the Posts get heated i think most people here leave with at least some new knowledge in their minds, even if they don't believe it.
If OT threads were causing flame wars left, right and centre I would maybe have a different opinion. But it's rare that happens, because this is a great community.
