While SJ's answer is a good one... Too many sticky topics makes the forum cluttered and unweildy. It is a pain to not be able to see the (very) newest topics without having to scroll down. If you only check the forums once every few days, it is not an issue. But if, like many here, you spend a longer period of time browsing the forums, it gets really annoying. If there was not so much junk at the top of the page to begin with (ad banner, wasted blank space, a forum message that is extremely outdated, etc.), 6 sticky threads would not be so bad. Still not good, but tolerable. What would really be bad is if this forum had as many sticky threads as the Dominions 2 Boards...

The best solution is to have 1 or 2 sticky threads that link to other important threads, rather than spamming the browsers with tons of sticky threads.
