In some ways it is a prisoner's dilema to have a talisman next to you. You do need to kill them, problem is is that it will weaken you considerably in the trying. While that will help everyone else in the game you may end up being worse off overall.
P.S I think we are still vaguely on thread but feel free to move this off - maybe to my 'cursed talisman' thread

Yes, we don't need to debate it to death. As to it being a bit OT, since there was a suggestion to exclude it, it is a bit on topic.
Yes, the player who fights to prevent the Religious player from becoming "Talisman'd" will weaken himself. But if he can make good peace with his neighbors while he works on the war (and why shouldn't they agree?), remember, he will gain the property of that war as well while others may not be able to expand due to keeping peace with all their neighbors. And, if those neighbors ARE to expand, then they will be in a war as well .
So, to make a final remark as to the suggestion...I don't care one way or the other if Religious is allowed.
