Well, as a lot of people advise, "playing in stocks" should only be done if you count the money as lost to begin with. Not bad advise. At to precious metals...it's beyond me. I bought 4 ounces of gold about 15 years ago and it's still about the same as it was then. Of course, having 4 ounces of metal in your home safe isn't the same as "playing that market".
