Today's word: Sto-ma-ta: Plural of Stoma.
Stoma: 1. A minute orifice or pore in the epidermis of plants, esp., of leaves and stems. 2. a. An aperture in the walls of blood vessels or in serous membranes. b. A mouthlike opening in nematodes.
