Actually there is, but it is a huge pain in the rear... most people just change their nickname. Of course, a lot of those silent people are semi-there, wandering in and out of the room or doing something fullscreen or whatever, so changing their nicks to away would not be very productive.
Further, the idling on #se4 is the same on pretty much ANY IRC channel. The difference is that we do not get many visiters (even during periods of high activity), so the idlers tend to stand out a lot more than in larger channels. If you can think of any ways to attract more people to the channel, we are open to suggestions. |
