Hey, that's a hard-SF question worthy of the good old 'zines of the 1930-50's!
My semi-hard-SF answers: certainly not if they're
inside the orbit of the Sphereworld. And
maybe not if they're outside the orbit, since maybe the "sphere" is fairly porous and lets lots of light through (perhaps it's more of a "basket-weave" world than a solid sphere - dunno, never built one
). I do like the question, though...
