Hmmmm, SEIV dilemma

Hmmmm, by the cunning artifice of deleting my heavily 'tweaked' SEIVG from Villesse (my computer) and reinstalling, I was able to play turn 1 of the game and in fact have just uploaded turn 2

Question - my race uses an excellent 'Atrocities' Federation shipset but I seem to be logging nto the game as the Drushocka or the Eeee or the Piundon or the Sallega - why is this?

Dilemma - I have just realised why I like SEIV so much - it is not the gameplay, it is not the tech, it is not the graphic, it is not any of this - it is the fact that I can "create" the '"perfick" space empire a la Starfire a la Honor Harrington a la Startrek - I can have fllets of 1000 starships, each lovingly named, each planet lovingly named and crafted

I have now realised that PBW doesn't let you do this if you want to win - you dont advertise, you dont give anything away

So.... what the hell do I do? play to win? or play for fun?
