re football: IIRC Germany came in second, England did as well as the USA. That is much as I have to say about that. I did not mean to disrespect the South Korean team. In fact I was a big fan of them and most of their matches were the most enjoyable to watch. The fact that they did better than most "great football nations" is sure to piss some people off, though (same goes for the US, btw).

re Ger-Eng 1-5: that was irrelevant and done on purpose to make sure England would qualify. so at least we'd someone to make fun of during the tournament after Holland didn't make it (hope i didn't open a can of worms here. if you wish to discuss Germany vs. Holland in regards to football, we'll need a new thread...)

* Rollo invites the Tigga over to his table to have a beer. Maybe we can at least agree that we don't like the French.

re 500ml cans: I prefer those only "to go". Any of the northern (Holsten, Becks, Jever) or danish (Faxe, Tuborg) brews will be fine. In the cantina I prefer from the tab of course. 500ml is just the perfect size. A pint is too small. If the imperial pint is bigger, that's better. one litre steins are too bavarian... and before you get any ideas: No, we don't wear "Lederhosen" in the North.
