First, the 5-1 is in response to years of sarcasm and snidy remarks by the Germans to the English... you had a great team in the 80's and early 90's but with Voller and Klinsmann retiring? nuff said

You have to realise that like Spain and Portugal (and to a certain extent France for years and Italy for the Last few) England have been perennial underperformers relying on a few aging stars... but we are now getting to stage of having a young talented team and a great coach and to quote the song, "the only way is up (baby)"

We can argue this all year.. you boys got an easier ride than most to get to where they did in the World Cup, simple fact and say compared to what South Korea had to go through, no comparison.

Re the French, I like the girls, the people, the cities and the cuisine, I like the country and I like their 'bugger the rest of you' attitude.. I like the Germans, the Dutch, the Belgians, the Luxembourgeoise and infact I dont think I dislike anybody - EXCEPT LINE DANCERS OF COURSE

I didnt like Mrs GT in Paris, the credit card bill covering the first half of her trip has arrived and I almost burst my stitches
