ooc:[fireballs could be his death spell. ok, he's still got his magic items. although he's going to have to go with movements and automatic.]
narp begins wacking the mage about the head. the minataur deliver's another solid whack. and the mage makes a serious of hand getures. a blue light washes out from the mage as an artifact uses all it's energy. all the golems collapse and the blue light settles over the rooms, preventing any further golems. however, damage has been done and the mages movements are slow and jerky. as the mage punches in his direction, narp grabs the weakend arm and holds on. the minataur chops downword hard, and the armor on the arm develops cracks. a crack is heard as the arm breaks. lightning shoots out of the wounded arm and another item becomes useless. a third item activates and the mage no longer feels the pain.

ooc:[so, three items used up, the mage is badly damaged although it doesn't hurt and there's no golems - me and the minataur would have to have run through the big ones anyway to get out of the way of the fireballs when he dies. and there's some miner lightning bolts flying out randomly.]
