I have not played the Trek Mod, but I tell you this, when I set up the UCP, I set em up like so:
Klingon / Federation OX Rock
Romulan / Ferengi Methane Rock
Dominion Hydrogen
Borg NONE
Cardassian Carbon Deoxide.
