Default Re: Full Version Of SE4

Your ships require supplies to move and to fire their weapons. Each time you move your ship, the game subtracts 10 points per engine per move. When you run out of supplies, your ships can only move one sector per turn--very frustrating!

You can resupply your ships by passing through a sector with a planet that has a resupply depot or you can stop your ship in a sector with a base, form a fleet that contains both the ship and the base and wait until next turn. Later in the game, you can research Astrophysics->Steller Harnessing to get a component that adds supplies to your ship based on the number of suns. A bit further down the tech tree for Resupply, you get a Quantum Reactor that gives you ship infinite supplies.

There is also a component called Supply Storage that increases the supplies for each ship. Since fleets share supplies, a good idea is to put all your ships in a fleet with a ship that has either Supply Storage or a Quantum Reactor. Or... you can just send your ships out until half their supplies are depleted and then press the little lightning icon that tells them to head for the closest resupply base.

Hope that helps.
