further update for trebuchet and anyone else playing - I am still unconnected, except for emergency use - and will be until friday this week. I am ok with just missing turns if you can't switch me to computer-controlled. honestly I don't know what else to do. If i just miss my turns, perhaps people would be gracious enough to not destroy me utterly while I can't fight back
