This has happened to me a few times, here is the solution: If you "look" at a map with a yellow star and then choose another one without a yellow star the races from the first one/scenario will carry over and be in addition to the race/s you picked to play against. So, you have to pick your starting nation again and choose the map you want...it is neccessary to know in advance in this case
. I don't know if this is a "bug" or just a clumsy quirk in the interface
.Note: your "simple" game against an easy ai opponent can turn into a real nightmare as some of the ai's are set at impossible
