Hoburg MOD - Bug and fix
Doing a game with the Hoburg alliance mod - they can be pretty damn scary. Horticulturists/ivy crowns and endless bags of wine mixed with an obscene number of cheap crossbowmen has me tramping over the world at will (two armies of 200+ units), even if my prettender (monolith) is doing double-duty on the heavy magical support end.
There's a problem in the Hoburg DM file though, that gives you pretty much nil Province Defense no matter how much you put into it. Here's the existant line:

#defcom2 2001
#defunit1 "Hoburg Militia"
#defunit2 "Hoburg Crossbow"
#defmult1 3
The problem is "#defmult1 3" I think their intention was to have 3 militia per point spent on defense, but what it actualy means is 3 units per TEN points spent on defense. I changed it to "#defmult1 30" and the problem went away.
Still don't have a starting scout, though. And Ulmish heroes can look pretty damn silly, towering over a sea of Hoburgs.
