Okay, that happened to me a LONG time ago and i came here for answers. I had already started another game but the one in question i had spent 13-16 hours on and POOF, my God vanished. Maybe it is a bug then, it hasn't happened again so far luckily. I had 3/4 of the map with temples and priests and POOF...i was new to the game so i restarted and had no save file
