No, your pretender is exactly the same one you started your previous game. No additional skills, no experience, no items.
EDIT: Just to make my previous post a bit clearer:
Effectively, you do not export your pretender to another game, but you start a new game playing the same nation with a new pretender, who just happens to be the same one you started your previous game with.
