Put the .map and .tga files in the Dominions 2 "Maps" folder. They are used to generate a new game, which is stored in ftherlnd file. Then players submit orders .2h files (not to confuse with pretender designs which are also .2h files but in the newlords folder...), and processed turns are .trn files.
Once a game is started the .map file isn't used anymore, only ftherlnd is, but .tga is still needed (to display the map !) |
