Interesting. I tried to verify it by given a Dusk Elder a dwarven hammer while I had Forge of the Ancients going. [This is in 2.08]
In all cases the price remained constant, 30 astral gems were removed from my pool. Likewise, the price of mechanical men remained 12 earth gems no matter which combination of dwarven hammer and Forge of the Ancients I tried.
Then, for verification, I started up a new game as a T'ien C'hi Cyclops, and I did not receive any reduction in gem cost when casting Crusher Construction while wielding the Dwarven Hammer.
And to make absolutely certain that it was not an inherent forge bonus that did the trick, I started an Ulm game, and I did not receive any reduction in cost when casting Crusher Construction or Clockwork Horrors with the Master Smiths.
Thus I cannot verify your observation. It fails all the tests I have subjected it to, and it must be considered a false and misleading statement until such time as you can produce a reproducible example.
Since I would hate to believe that you were deliberately lying just to gratify your own sense of humour, which would make you a low and despicable person indeed, would you care to elaborate under which circumstances, exactly, you have managed to use the forge bonus to reduce ritual costs within the construction path? I am always ready to learn a new trick.
