If they were unknown and nonexistent, that still means that no unknown sites existed, or in other words there were no unknown sites.
To say that there 'were' some 'nonexistent unknown sites' is the sort of 'logic' that should have NTYoda whip any putative NTJedi back to NTPreSchool.
