Although he isnt really a god he is often referred to as one. He is the figurehead of all Slackers represented by the Church of the Sub-Genius. Like many things that are internet subculture your best definition is to look for the culture dictionarys Online such as wikipedia and "the Jargon File" which can help you find the correct websites for the Church of the SubGenius and their famous "what the.." FAQ file.

Personally I think Eris and the Church of Discordianism (the Goddess of Hackers) is more interesting but not as well known.
