Everyone designs a pretender for a race, submits it, and Posts the details of their design. If there are any stinker pretender designs, people can vote that that designer has to play his own cruddy pretender. All the other (resaonable) pretenders get randomly assigned to the other players.

I LIKE this one. It's better (and shorter, and more directly self-policing) Hmmm I better stay out of this. My pretenders are very specific toward boosting certain tactics and strategys. They are sure to be viewed as "stinkers" by most players. turning "stinkers" into a surprise is kindof the definition of my style. On the contrary! It might work out great for you: If other players thought your pretender designs were stinkers, then they'd stick them back to you, and so you'd get to play your own preferred design, while everyone else had to put up with someone else's choices.
