This is my first attempt at an AAR, after downloading the awesome Faerun map (
http://www.shrapnelgames.com/cgi-bin...;f=74;t=002749 ) I decided to play a suitable epic game on it, with all indeps set to 9, difficult research, and all AI's on board, all set to impossible. I picked Mictlan because id recently become interested in them, i love blood magic, and they can't help but make the game seem more epic by virtue of micromanagement.
I chose the Smoking Mirror as my pretender because i wanted something more thematic than effective, and i was curious how much of his description was flavour text and how much was special abilities. Turns out all that talk about divining the fates of men with his mirror is baloney. But whatever. I took 4F 4A, 4W, 4D, 5B. I also wanted access to almost all the juicy blood summons straight off the bat, and to be able to search for plenty of sites.
I took the cheapest castle so i could spam it for blood hunting purposes, and took Order 3, Sloth 3, Heat 1 (free), Growth 2, and Misfortune 1. Extremely comfortable scales for Mictlan. It didnt occur to me until turn 86 or so (which on a 424 province map is awhile) to turn it into a AAR, so the entirety of my first entry is just catching up on history... with more to come later. Its my first attempt at an AAR, i overuse adjectives and my punctuation is atrocious, but without further ado i give you my first AAR; Mictlan on Faerun.
