Supposedly, dominion changes only after battles, so you should still have the positive dominion this turn.

However, there are rumors that sometimes dominion of 1 can fail before main battles occur. I do not know why this would happen unless caused by a ritual. In my experience, even dominion 1 has always been present during battle.
