I think you mean "raze". They knock down temples, they don't build any.

It's an understandable mistake coming from a non-native English-writer. It's long been recognized that they don't speak English in the Democratic People's Republic of California.

Funny thing is this kind of spelling errors happen more to native speakers. Because they write "phonetically" like they would speak the words while non-native speakers actually learned these words.
