I loved MoM!
In fact, I still play it at times. The ability to customise your character so extensively, and create your own magic artifacts were the two things that really made it stand out for me.
In fact, my floppies finally went bad from old age, but I found it at an abandonware site! Since I legitimately own the game, I felt not at all bad about D/L'ing it. Don't get me wrong, I'm certainly not condoning any sort of a casual attitude to software-licensing issues.
Anyway, MoM, like MOO, was the work of Steve and Grissel Barcia. My understanding is that they have moved on to console games (/me shudders in horror).
I guess my only point is, look what a fiasco MOO3 turned out to be. Unless the Barcias themselves wanted to take a whack at a MoM sequel, I wouldnt be too optimistic.
