Why wait and pay for MS Space Simulator 2005 when you can get
Orbiter now and for free? There is supposed to be a new Version coming out soon.
And yes, sub-orbital (aka, you get up there but don't go fast enough to make orbit) flights are a possible means of long distance flight.
