Ive spent most of my adult life under military rules. Not bad in cases like this since they will definetly push the limits, but the limits they set will have reasons. Not reasons like being nice to the troops.

but reasons based on experts.
Female: 7-9 hours sleep
Male: 8-10 hours sleep
after 16 hours you are not allowed to operate heavy machinery. After 32 hours you are no longer responsible for your actions. Also after 32 hours, you CANNOT catch up on lost sleep. Its "deducted from the end of your life span" as they used to warn us.
BELIEVE me, if ANYONE has tested the limits of limited sleep its the military. So I figure their rules are good enough for me to at least try to maintain.
