Re: Sequence Questions
Combat reduces local dominion, doesn't it? We've seen proof, at least before 2.14, that dominion-altering effects such as the presence of a god or prophet take place before combat, meaning that a god that attacks a neutral-dominion province is likely to end up fighting in friendly dominion.
The question is, does combat's dominion reducing effect also take place before the battle, or only afterwards? If so, does it take place before or after other dominion effects? Could one attack a neutral province, turn it friendly, and then turn it neutral again by staging a battle there, all before the battle actually takes place? And what about multiple battles, or battles which take place before the movement phase? Is preaching handled before, after, or during all of this?
Hold on, does negative dominion cause unrest? I hope not. I should pay more attention to this kinda stuff. Anyway, I'm not sure in what order most unrest-related things happen(Though I'm pretty sure patrolling happens after combat, possibly including combat resulting from patrollers finding a spy or sneaking army), but I do know unrest-increasing(And presumably unrest-reducing, as well) magic sites take effect after patrolling, taxation, and pretty much everything else.
No idea where spells such as Illwinteror Burden of Time come into play.
