Perhaps some of you SE4 wizards will help us newbys on this:

I am just beginning to try and figure out how formations and fleet orders interplay with ship strategies.

Is there a way to have specific formations saved in your empire file for PBW? And if so, how? Also, has any consensus been reached about how ship orders REALLY interplay with fleet orders? It all seems confusing, and actually, backwards to me. Any help is apprciated. Thank you.
