Caution this post will reveal details of the story line in Half-Life 2
Half-Life 2 is in fact a good game: it does everything that a good FPS game should do. It also does it extremely well. But the game story line is just bad. Gordon Freeman is apparently world famous after the black mesa incident. So the fact that at the start of Half-Life 2 he has his picture taken by a security drone and this does not result in any response by the station security is very strange. Another thing is that the way Gordon joins up with the resistance run by his former black mesa colleagues. This is laughable. ‘Look Gordon Freeman is back. We haven’t seen him for nearly ten years so let’s tell him all of our secrets.’ That is just too strange. Oh, by the way, the sentence for working for the resistance is death or a trip to an off world labour camp. This makes their attitude even stranger.
