You should become a Flagellant. There is no other way to clear the blame from your person.
The Cheat detection is slightly overzealous from time to time; I believe it is caused by doing too much alchemy in a given turn. You could turn off the cheat protection for SP games, if you do not wish the AI to become too suspicious, and would rather not see this message.
