One would expect Firefox to have
more problems than Mozilla, since Mozilla has been in stable public release long before Firefox was even concieved. Firefox basically is Mozilla with everything not needed to look at webpages stripped out. So basically the past year or so has been devs weeding out dependencies left behind and some efficiency improvements. Any bugs that are part of the Gecko core would be fixed in both simultaneously, so it would seem that Mozilla would be the most stable Version ready for the public. And in fact, it is.
There really is no reason not to choose Mozilla over Firefox for basic web usage. Myself, I like the weekly builds, so... Firefox. Plus I still have a predjudice about taking up lots of hard drive space from my first computer's 400MB drive back around 1994, and I don't use the rest of the Mozilla suite. I don't need to worry about excess space usage any more (two 40GB drives and a 200GB drive), but it's still there (possibly because of the 20MB limit on my University server account
