Well, I just had to find this out. I went through the grunt work of playing out two empires solo for the purpose of checking this one out. IT WORKS! Analyzing a ship with the talisman will give the lower levels of religious technology.
Four ships with one talisman in each will give all four levels. Yeah! [img]/threads/images/graemlins/Smile.gif[/img]
