Kidding aside, I don't think we fought a lot in this game, at least not while I was ruling the Sign. The problem was rather your partner in crime, whose Talisman-powered vessels blasted my Talisman-equipped vessels. Losing a whole fleet without doing any damage whatsoever is so embarrassing.
I will stick with my usual line: I cannot make my ships to behave properly, and gave up trying. I am now used to losing my first invading fleets, so all those first vessels have KIA crews before even leaving my spaceyards. Then I cross my fingers and hope the third wave will be able to finish the enemy off, after the second wave came close to victory. My people delights in military defeats! It means we are doing well somewhere else. I hope.
