I think what he meant is "don't get ahead of yourself"
I have this problem myself
I have a good idea then I keep expanding on it until it becomes too complicated to actually finish.
Start slowly and finish one section before moving onto the next.
For example, my Mod editor, I started out with the idea for a nice component editor and then I expanded that until it covered the entirity of the Space Empires 4 data files!
Quite a large project to code in such a small time, so I cut out sections again and reverted to my original problem : the component editor.
Once this section is finished I'll add the technology editor, then facility editor and so on.
One thing I noticed about your Last project Hadrian (as good as it was) was that it was too large for you to realistically keep everything updated on. The size of a project should reflect the amount of time you have to devote to it, not the amount of time you *want* to devote to it
