Ed Neumeier on both films. Surprise, surprise.
I'm new to the forum, so I missed the earlier SST discussions (darn!). SST 1 is probably my second favorite sci fi comedy of all time (surpassed only recently by "The Day After Tomorrow").
Funniest SST 1 line: "The MI doesn't mint stupid troopers!"
Funniest gadget: The coffee cup asteroid detector (I mean, come on, DR's boobs exerted a greater gravitational pull than that asteroid).
Biggest mistake: Leaving DR out of the shower scene (cost millions at the box office).
I caught SST 2 on cable: lower budget and not as funny, but it still has a couple of bright spots. Kelly Carlson
displays her Nip/Tuck body a couple of times, and Brenda Strong (aka Captain Deladier in SST 1) returns as a tough-as-nails infantry sergeant. The MI is still the biggest bunch of ####ups in the known universe
, and the bugs are still smarter than humans.
