I agree with QM; no one should control more than one god, even with limitations. However, I might enjoy an option to make all pretenders in a particular game come from the same mythology. You could play an all-Greek game with Zeus, Poseidon, Hades, titans, cyclops, etc. An all-Norse game would have Odin, Thor, Loki, giants, Fenris, etc.
