(Note- compounds like RPO or RCR are acceptable if you use more than one tech)
I've got some suggestions:
For racial traits, use a "-" to exclude certain things from the R* tag.
EG: R*-A gives "all traits except ancient"
RM = mod racial trait.
To specify which ones, enclose the mod-specific trait code in ()'s.
For P&N, they would be
RM(L) living ships
RM(A) automation
RM(T) tiny race
RM(B) big thinkers
RM(P) pack rats
Note that you should probably specify which mod before the racial traits section, so that this makes more sense.
I'm also thinking that the R* should not include modded racial traits, since they can change rapidly.
