Default Re: The Uber Empires of SEIV!

OK so not really an "uber" empire when compared to the rest, but still 'tis one of my biggest ever:

Empire Name: Ktarian States
Planets Occupied: 19
Systems Occupied: 5
Sphereworlds: Nil
Population: 11.6 Billion
Ships: 2 (One explorer and one transport ship. I never build much ships unless I have a use for them.)
Troops: Nil (not counting the 25 weapon platforms on my homeworld)
Bases: Nil
Production:
Minerals: 34402 gross 14859 net
Organics: 47536 gross 16675 net
Radioactives: 40376 gross 39200 net
Research: 763326 (Last turn, I had a full research queue, including at least three theoretical techs, and everything got researched in one turn.)
Intel: Nil
Mod: Star Trek version 1.9.1.2(?)
Biggest battles:
None (Only recently encountered the Vulcans, I'm living in a linear string of systems and have only recently begun exploring beyond a spatial anomaly next to one side of my home system.)
Shipset Used: Ktarians (by AT)

I had an even larger empire (using the Pexlerr shipset, stock game) but I've got the savegame on another computer. Due to my resource extraction facility construction habit (whenever it's 100% or more I build extractors, whenever it's below I don't build them, not even when it's 99% or during a crisis) I filled up over half of my planets with Research Centers. Within several years, I had built Atmosphere Converters on all non-breathable planets and expanded my Research capacity even more. Eventually, I believe my research point output lay at over a million(!!!). When I researched all techs (somewhere around 20 years into the game IIRC) I converted them all into Intel centers. I stopped at that point, but had I continued, all the other empires would've been completely powerless against me and my hordes of CIA/KGB operatives.....
