Ive used it a few times, especially on Thugs/SCs that got the heroic strength ability, it is very useful, especially with quickness.
Try it on something really really strong with heroic strength and watch everything get one-hit-killed (such nice and cheap thug would be a niefel with loads of strength and IIRC have water magic for quickness as well as easy access to death magic being Jotunheimish).
