However, it
is quite stable before, during, and after creation. After all, its just a mixture of powdered Iron (III) Oxide and powdered aluminum. It's not heat, shock or flame sensitive, so yeah, I consider it fairly safe. Seeing as how it takes massive heat (such as burning magnesium) to set it off, and not even the heat of a blowtorch is enough to light it, it's pretty safe. But after it's lit...well you better hope it's not on something you value too much!
Can't put it out with water or smothering...not to mention the fact it reaches extremely high temperatures...in the thousands of degrees Celcius. I'm not just some goof messing around, I have a bit of knowledge when it comes to chemistry!
