Ordonnance or ordinances can be quite interesting though.

"Given the provisions of our previous agreements, namely articles III-324 and IV-456 of the Beta Aquinae - Coruprimus treaty,
Considering the actions committed by the offending body, in violation of the aforementioned agreements,
In light of your proclamation that all such agreements are to be considered void and without efect henceforth,
We, acting with the full consent of our peers, and representing the interests of our state, hereby declare your people to be in a state of flagrant illegality, punishable under the terms of the General Villain Agreement, part VII through X (articles IX-987 through IX-1034 notwithstanding).

Given your failure to acquaint yourself before this tribunal, despite repeated requests to do so, as per the Commonplace Routine of Justice (relevant articles mentioned in footnote 17.2), the inquiry shall proceed without hearing the case of the offending party. Conclusive evidence presented by the prosecution has been enough to warrant the verdict of the present tribunal: the offending party is fully guilty on all charges presented therein, including, but not limited to: manslaughter, actus reus, high treason, wholesale destruction of propriety (including several planets), and miscellaneous abuses.

As per the 174th Statute of the Great Dimwit Flathead, the present tribunal has been empowered to enact retribution on the offending party. As such, we, acting on the behalf of the Flathead Holdings, at their express request, and with their full consent, without prejudicing on regal prerogatives, hereby declare the offending party to be in a state of undeclared hostility towards our people, state which shall be addressed with all the means at our disposal, up to totemisation, should the relevant authorities estimate such remedies to be in good order.

Ergo, the following ordinance nulls ownership of the offending vessels currently trespassing in the Betelgeuse system, and confiscate those ships for the common interest of the civil institutions. Failure to comply with the present proclamation shall result in the maiming of any and all offending bodies, followed by the destruction of the aforementioned vessels, if time permits. To all civil servants part of the defensive institutional bodies: you are expressly bestowed with the unlimited capability to exert deadly force on any target with unfriendly intentions.

The following document has been dictated by the Highest Court of Justic of the Great Underground Empire, and has been endorsed for public circulation by the Circumstantial Office of Approval. The signatories, the list of which can be found in Annex B-4, specifically pledge the present document has been done without causing any breach whatsoever in standing legal procedures.
